Empowering Women and Alleviating Poverty in Lagos State – BruderHilfe 2022 Projects
In 2022, BruderHilfe Social Development Initiative implemented a series of impactful projects across suburban and hard-to-reach communities in Lagos State, designed to empower vulnerable women, improve livelihoods, and alleviate poverty.
Holistic Support for Women and Families
Our interventions aimed to uplift women and their families through:
- Home Renovation and Furnishing: Refurbishing homes with plaster, paint, doors, nets, windows, ceiling boards, and furnishing with furniture, mattresses, carpets, and kitchen utensils.
- Education Support: Enrolling children in school and providing educational materials, including reading/story books for school libraries.
- Basic Needs Provision: Donating food, clothing, footwear, sanitary items, maternal and new-born kits, and essential household items.
- Economic Empowerment: Providing capital, materials, and training for women to establish small businesses and generate income.
Impact Stories

BruderHilfe renovated her home, provided furnishings, and supported her children with school enrollment, uniforms, and educational materials. The school library also received donated story books to enhance literacy and learning opportunities.
Mrs. Modupe Ibe – Bariga LCDA
After being paralyzed for several months, Mrs. Modupe received essential food, clothing, sanitary items, medical supplies, and bedding, restoring stability to her home and daily life.
Community Outreach in Isolo LCDA
