BruderHilfe Donates Books to Stadium Junior Grammar School, Agege
On Wednesday, 29th June 2022, BruderHilfe Social Development Initiative carried out a library donation drive at Stadium Junior Grammar School, Agege, Lagos. Recognizing that “readers are leaders,” the initiative aimed to equip the school library with materials to improve literacy and learning outcomes.
With support from the Muriel Gordon Foundation, the team donated 100 children’s story and reading books, enhancing the school’s resources for its students. This marked the third intervention at the school by BruderHilfe, which had previously supported the school’s inter-house sports and donated educational materials including school bags, exercise books, and pens in 2019. Several students have also benefited from the organization’s scholarship scheme.
The Executive Director, Mary Oluwabamigbe Bruder, toured the school facilities and inspected the library, after which she engaged the students in an interactive session on the importance of reading, study habits, and academic excellence.
School management and staff expressed heartfelt appreciation to BruderHilfe and the Muriel Gordon Foundation, highlighting the positive impact of past and current interventions on students’ academic performance. The children were visibly excited about the new books and promised to take good care of them, ensuring they are fully utilized to enhance their learning.
