Project Inclusive Initiative
The Project Inclusive Initiative by BruderHilfe Social Development Initiative focuses on supporting Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through the provision of assistive and mobility equipment. The goal is to empower beneficiaries to care for themselves, reduce dependence on others, and live fuller, more independent lives.
Through the initiative, more than 800 multi-purpose mobility carts have been distributed across several states in Nigeria, particularly in underserved rural communities where access to basic amenities is limited and many residents live below the poverty line.
In addition to mobility carts, other assistive devices — including eyeglasses, crutches, walkers, and walking sticks — have been provided to persons with various forms of disability nationwide.
These interventions have significantly improved beneficiaries’ ability to move freely, socialize, and participate in daily activities without constant assistance. Mobility carts, in particular, enable recipients to transport work tools, carry goods, and run small businesses, creating new opportunities for income generation and self-reliance.
By removing mobility barriers, the initiative helps beneficiaries perform tasks that were previously difficult or impossible, strengthening their confidence, improving mental wellbeing, and reducing vulnerability to neglect or abuse.
Overall, Project Inclusive continues to transform lives by enabling persons with disabilities to live with dignity, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and see themselves as active members of society.
