Persons with Disabilities Intervention

Promoting Inclusion, Independence, and Dignity

Empowering Persons with Disabilities for Independent Living

Through its Project Inclusive initiative, BruderHilfe supports Persons with Disabilities (PWDs with essential mobility aids and disability enhancement equipment that enable them to live independently and participate fully in society.

The project focuses on reducing dependency on family, government, and society by providing practical tools that restore dignity, confidence, and economic participation. These interventions ensure that persons with disabilities are empowered to become active contributors to their communities rather than marginalized dependents.

Improving Mobility, Livelihoods, and Quality of Life

BruderHilfe has donated over 1000 multi-purpose mobility carts to persons with disabilities across Katsina, Sokoto, Borno, Niger, Bauchi, Kwara, Ondo, and Lagos States, with a strong focus on rural, remote, and hard-to-reach communities.

In addition to mobility carts, BruderHilfe has distributed other assistive devices including eyeglasses, crutches, walkers, and walking sticks to persons with disabilities nationwide. Financial grants, scholarships, and support for dependents have also been provided to beneficiaries, alongside the refurbishment and equipping of their homes.

These interventions have enabled beneficiaries to move freely, operate small businesses, transport goods, and meet daily needs independently—improving mental well-being, reducing vulnerability to abuse, and restoring confidence and hope for a better life.
